It involves a cast of characters ranging from Queen Elizabeth the First to Edmund Spenser himself. Also appearing are the Witch, Gammer Gray, Dame Dyneley the widow, and of course Rose Dyneley. There is the inevitable astrologer and alchymist, Dr Dee, and the exuberant Tristram Magnificenza, an adventurer and follower of Raleigh.
