A short biography of Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania, accompanied by a figure of Penn's coat of arms and an un-numbered 8-page facsimile of his general description of the Province of Pennsylvania (1683). The author founded the Hunt Center for Botanical Documentation at the Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh and was a devoted collector of botanical works. The frontispiece shows Inman's full-length portrait of Penn. (6), 38, (1) pages not including the facsimile section and 2 illustrations.
