Publisher's red ribbed cloth has faded at the spine, top edge gilt, bottom edge with a small 'W' stamp in a square box, bookplate of Rees and Elizabeth Rees, no other inscriptions. Hinges almost starting, tissue guard to frontispiece intact but tanned. This edition of Walton & Cotton was edited by John Major and contains the introductory essay, the author's dedication to John Offley and his address to his readers. It is illustrated with a frontispiece based on Robinson's engraving of Isaac Walton, the woodcut of the five subjects of Walton's biography, 19 fish and a page of music. 354 pp.
