Averis and Stella Ross-Cray (sic), actually Stella Ross-Craig. Simple plant list of a floristically diverse county poorly served by modern floras. Covers the whole of the botanical vice-county 47, from Machynlleth in the west to the geologically interesting Breidden area. The flora was first studied in depth in the late C19 by Rev. Augustin Ley, and Cosmo Melvill also botanised the area in the early C20. Veronica Janet Macnair lived near Welshpool; a keen musician, she founded the Montgomery Field Society in 1946. 82 pp., fold-out map at rear, staple binding.
